A Mindset Built Into the Storm

Why Great Leaders Don’t Avoid Challenges

Buffalo don’t run from storms. They move straight through them, reaching clear skies faster.

That idea shapes how we think about leadership.

The strongest teams aren’t built by avoiding hard conversations or delaying decisions. They’re built by leaders willing to face challenges head-on, work through what’s not working, and move forward with clarity.

We call it the ITS Mindset—Into the Storm. It’s the approach we bring to every leadership team we work with.

How We Work With You

Built Around Real Results

We're not here to lecture or hand you a playbook and walk away. We're built by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs, so our work stays practical and grounded in what actually works.

We work alongside leadership teams to solve real issues, build alignment, and create lasting progress. Everything we do is grounded in real-world experience.

Our sessions are designed to be practical, engaging, and immediately applicable. You won't leave with theory. You'll leave with clarity and a plan to move forward.

A Different Kind of Commitment

We operate with a simple promise: Results or nothing. We promise to deliver value in the session, or you don’t pay.

There are no long-term contracts or retainers. You pay per session. If you don’t see value, you don’t pay. It’s that simple.

A Team, Not a Solo Voice

Experience You Can Rely On

When you work with CultureShoc, you’re not hiring one person—you’re gaining access to a team. We’ve worked with hundreds of companies and thousands of leaders, delivering sessions that drive alignment, accountability, and growth.

Our implementers and facilitators bring a wide range of experience across industries, leadership levels, and business challenges. This provides your organization with multiple perspectives.

Meet the team helping leaders move forward.

Derek Pittak

Certified EOS Implementer®

As a Certified EOS Implementer, Derek brings a lot of energy to the room. He combines a laid back approach to a work hard play hard mentality, ultimately helping his clients become their best self. Derek offers a unique perspective of working alongside an Implementer to insert EOS into a large staffing business as their COO and Integrator. His experience in staffing & recruiting led to him scaling his practice rapidly helping 50+ staffing companies across the country implement EOS. Eventually that led to him taking a CEO seat running a staffing business for over two years before ultimately realizing his true passion was back at the helm of guiding and coaching teams through the EOS process. Derek’s experience of running back office functions, integrating acquisitions, and leading the overall business, offers real practice experiences his clients can learn from beyond just teaching the tools leading to a faster adoption of EOS.

On the personal front, Derek has spent time in public office, is married and has four wonderful children. He enjoys spending time with his family, close friends, working out, traveling and taking on the occasional hobby like golf. Nothing excites him more than the opportunity to have an intimate conversation with a friend or two over a bourbon and maybe a cigar here or there!

Kurt McAllister

Professional EOS Implementer®

As a Professional EOS Implementer®, Kurt helps his clients by leaning on his experience growing up in a family business, where he learned the realities of entrepreneurship early on. After time in both small companies and Fortune 500s, he was brought in to lead a third-generation family business—where he helped implement EOS®, made several acquisitions, grew top line and bottom line, and built a thriving culture. That experience inspired his mission today: helping entrepreneurs get what they want from their businesses through EOS®.

Outside of work, he’s a proud husband and dad to four kids. He stays busy coaching and cheering on his kids in their sports and activities. He also enjoys golfing, woodworking, vacationing to new and exciting places, staying physically active and rooting for all things Cleveland sports.

Joe Haddad

Integrator & #2 Forum Leader

With a personal mission statement of “Develop People & Change Lives,” Joe has invested 20+ years of his career leading organizations (for-profit and non-profit) that value the same thing. As a Business Owner, Entrepreneur, Leader & Integrator, Joe has worn many hats, and his aim is to help people learn and grow.

He is a graduate of Miami University (OH), with a double major in Accounting & Finance. He also obtained a Master’s of Accountancy from Miami University (OH) , and became a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor for Ernst & Young shortly after. He left Ernst & Young in 2006 to continue co-leading a company he founded in 2003, while a college student, called University Tees.

Today, Joe is the Fractional Integrator at CultureShoc. He’s also leading The #2 Forum where he helps COO’s, Integrators and second-in-command leaders elevate their leadership skills.

Joe Haddad is currently very happily married and has four children. He enjoys coaching them in youth & travel sports, hiking, swimming and taking joy in their interests. He also serves on boards for a number of non-profits.

Pete Honsberger

Director of ITS Leaders

Pete has been serving CultureShoc clients for over a decade. His experience and passion facilitating high-energy, team development training has allowed over 300 organizations to improve their relationships, alignment, and productivity. He’s also the co-creator and facilitator of the ITS (Into The Storm) Leaders programs and CultureShoc’s Senior Coach.

Drawing on experience as a small business partner, Fortune 500 team building facilitator, and a former collegiate athlete, Pete helps teams and individuals adopt CultureShoc’s ITS Mindset to improve their performance.

An author of two books, he holds a Master’s Degree in Communications from John Carroll University. In his free time, Pete enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters at their home in the Cleveland area, as well as exercising and writing.

Joe Jurec

ITS Coach

Joe co-created ITS Leaders because he needed it before he knew it existed. He’s a father, a builder, and someone who has done the hard work of rebuilding himself – attributing much of that to the principles, tools, and models that are now part of the ITS Leaders program, and now helps leaders do the same.

His background runs through Sony, Sears, energy trading, and two SaaS companies. He’s led teams, created culture from scratch, and learned most of his best lessons the expensive way. Since 2016 he’s worked exclusively in the entrepreneurial space, where leadership theory meets Monday morning and one usually loses.

He facilitates the way buffalo move, toward the storm, not away from it. His Kolbe is 5-3-9-2: built to read a room, adapt to what’s actually happening, and move before the blueprint is finished. Direct and pattern-oriented, he’s unwilling to let a room stay comfortable when something honest is below the surface. He believes vulnerability is strength and that leaders go first, so he models that tone to connect authentically and create an opening for others.
